How high was corporate participation at the 9th Digital China Summit? A set of data provides a clear answer: At this year’s summit, over 55% of sub-forums were hosted by companies, more than 65% of speakers were corporate representatives, and nearly 75% of attending delegates came from enterprises—all setting record highs compared with previous editions. At the on-site experience zone, nearly 80% of the exhibits were presented by enterprises. These figures send a clear message: enterprises are no longer just participants; they are emerging as a strong driving force in building Digital China.

A summit is not only a platform for exchanging ideas, but also a showcase for technology and a hub for industry collaboration. Achieving these three functions depends heavily on the active participation of enterprises. How quickly is technology evolving? How are large models being applied in real-world scenarios? What are the bottlenecks in the circulation of data elements? The solutions to many pressing issues rest with enterprises.

At the main forum, Wang Xingxing, Founder and CEO of Unitree Robotics, demonstrated the leap of humanoid robots from simply walking to performing tasks. He noted that Unitree Robotics has already deployed pilot projects in several factories. These robots are not mere showpieces; they are fully integrated into the production process.

Data is the key driver in accelerating breakthroughs in embodied intelligence and robotic capabilities. Wang Xingxing believes that in any field with sufficient high-quality data, current AI technologies are fully capable of solving problems. He envisions that embodied intelligence will soon reach its “ChatGPT moment”—in roughly 80% of unfamiliar scenarios, robots will be able to complete about 80% of tasks through verbal or written instructions.

The 9th Digital China Summit featured 23 sub-forums, alongside multiple thematic meetings and exchange sessions, totaling over 50 events. For the first time, private enterprises such as Huawei and Ant Group hosted sub-forums. The Digital China AI CITY sub-forum, organized by Huawei, focused on “Accelerating Urban Digital and Intelligent Innovation, Empowering High-Quality Development with AI.” Wu Hui, Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei’s China Government & Enterprise Business, noted that Huawei is working closely with key cities to comprehensively upgrade the concept and technical architecture of urban intelligent agents across three dimensions: “computing foundation, data integration, and experience-led design.” By strengthening new infrastructure, including AI and data elements, digital and intelligent technologies are being leveraged to drive systematic improvements across urban governance, industry, and public services. “We look forward to partnering with more cities to jointly build modern, vibrant cities that seamlessly integrate efficient governance, high-quality development, and a superior living experience,” he added.

Innovative enterprises in the digital economy are key drivers of new quality productive forces, continuously advancing technological breakthroughs and the commercialization and practical application of their achievements. Financial support is particularly crucial for the growth of digital innovation companies. At the Investment and Financing Matchmaking Conference for Innovative Digital Economy Enterprises during the 9th Digital China Summit, eight banks, including Industrial Bank, China Everbright Bank, Jiangsu Bank, Huaxia Bank, Hubei Bank, Three Gorges Rural Commercial Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, and China Merchants Bank, jointly launched an initiative to provide credit support for digital innovation enterprises. During the roadshow segment, six companies showcased their core technologies, application scenarios, and financing needs, highlighting both their innovations in the digital economy and their growth potential.

As a key component of the Digital China Summit, the on-site experience zone not only brought together cutting-edge technologies and disruptive innovations but also vividly demonstrated how digital power is transforming industries across the board. This year, the zone featured over 400 participating organizations, with enterprises accounting for more than 75%. Among them were 31 Fortune Global 500 companies and China’s Top 500 enterprises, while 21 organizations, including PipeChina, Sugon, and others, made their debut. Highlights included Huawei’s Atlas 900 A3 SuperPoD and TaiShan 950 SuperPoD, Sugon’s X40 and X640 Super Nodes, Tencent’s HY 3.0, ZTE’s Doubao Mobile 2.0, iFlytek AI Glasses, and other cutting-edge technologies. This concentrated showcase underscores that China’s digital and intelligent technology sector is accelerating its shift from a follower to a competitor and even to a leader on the global stage.

Many enterprises expressed their intention to participate in next year’s summit. At the recent pre-registration and signing ceremony for the on-site experience zone of the 10th Digital China Summit, 61 enterprises and organizations eagerly secured their spots for next year’s exhibition. A YUNECT executive stated that they have participated in the summit for four consecutive years. They have not only showcased the company’s technological capabilities and brand image but also engaged in on-site exchanges with leaders and guests, broadening both perspectives and business opportunities. The number of clients they attracted at the exhibition has grown year by year, particularly this year, with multiple agreements reached with prospective buyers, significantly boosting their overall business. “Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the Digital China Summit, and we look forward to continuing this journey together!”

The summit provides the stage, and enterprises take the spotlight. This year, corporate potential was fully realized, industry collaboration yielded tangible results, and innovation momentum surged. With government and enterprises working hand in hand, the foundation for building Digital China will be steadily strengthened, driving sustainable, high-quality development.
