In recent years, building on its local industrial foundation and comparative advantages, Fuzhou’s robotics industry has continued to deepen its presence in specialized segments and pursue constant innovation, demonstrating strong momentum and accelerated growth.

At Fujian Hantewin Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., technicians are currently fine-tuning the C61 intelligent cleaning robot, which is specifically designed for cleanroom environments. Equipped with features such as automatic wetting, easy cloth replacement, automatic charging, and rapid battery swapping, the robot enables fully autonomous, unmanned cleaning operations.

The company has established three independently developed core technology systems—hardware platforms, software systems, and algorithmic models—and holds more than 110 invention patents. It has also taken the lead in pioneering the “Robot Space Station” operating model, which offers a range of “Ben” series robots for scenarios including indoor and outdoor delivery, security patrols, and environmental sanitation, along with integrated system solutions based on a cloud–edge–terminal architecture.

As society’s demand for greater efficiency continues to rise, application scenarios for robots are expanding rapidly.

At the Yuxi egg-laying hen breeding base of Fujian Guangyang Egg Industry Co., Ltd., the “Mu Jilang 6” robot leverages poultry status image recognition and poultry vocalization recognition technologies to monitor the physiological condition and egg production of flocks housed in a single poultry shed accommodating 50,000 laying hens. It also tracks feed and water consumption in real time, enabling intelligent and highly efficient management of the entire breeding process.

In July 2025, a urology team from the Fuzhou University Affiliated Provincial Hospital, in collaboration with experts from Beijing and France, successfully performed a resection and anastomosis for an upper left ureteral stricture on a patient in Fujian Province using a 5G-enabled ultra-long-distance surgical robot. Remote robotic surgery enables cross-regional access to leading experts, ensuring a consistently high standard of surgical performance and quality.

At Fuzhou Changle International Airport, the intelligent luggage concierge robot “Rong Xiaodi” provides strong support for travelers. Whether assisting with baggage delivery or offering information and guidance, Rong Xiaodi delivers intelligent, convenient, and on-demand services throughout the passenger journey.

Empowered by digital technologies, a growing number of manufacturing enterprises in Fuzhou have introduced industrial robotic production lines. At the workshop of Fuzhou Fushiang Motor Industrial Co., LTD., automated lines operate at high efficiency, with robots moving autonomously along preset routes to handle material transport. Flexible robotic arms work seamlessly to complete the welding and assembly of new energy vehicle battery packs with precision. As many processes are automated, labor intensity has been significantly reduced while overall production efficiency has been markedly enhanced.

By late September 2025, the Fujian Intelligent Robotics Industry Alliance was officially established in Fuzhou. Bringing together more than 60 key entities across the industrial chain, including manufacturing enterprises, universities and research institutes, financial institutions, and user organizations, the alliance focuses on coordinated development in areas such as resource integration, core technology breakthroughs, scenario-based applications, standards formulation, ecosystem building, exchanges and cooperation, and advisory support. Through these efforts, it aims to advance technological innovation, standards development, and industrial collaboration in intelligent robotics and related sectors, supporting the high-quality development of Fujian’s intelligent robotics industry.

As robots are increasingly applied across both production and service sectors, demand for skilled technical professionals continues to rise. In response to the shortage of application-oriented talent, Fujian’s robotics industry is actively partnering with vocational institutions to jointly advance the cultivation of specialized professionals.

To address the acute shortage of application-oriented talent in the service robotics sector, Fujian Hantewin Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Fujian Technical College have jointly established an industry–education integrated training base since April 2025. The initiative aims to achieve precise alignment between talent supply and industrial demand through a training model that combines real-world scenarios, enterprise mentors, and project-based learning.

The training base is equipped with industry-leading IoT teaching systems, covering eight major application scenarios such as reception and guidance, smart delivery, and environmental purification. It enables students to carry out hands-on IoT development and practical training, integrating robot systems with smart terminals, including access control systems, elevators, and lighting systems.

From everyday life to industrial manufacturing, the robotics industry is embracing brand-new development opportunities. In Fuzhou, enterprises’ technological breakthroughs and scenario-based innovations are deeply integrated and mutually reinforcing, while policy incentives and market vitality interact to form a virtuous cycle. A Fuzhou official noted that, in the face of rapid advances in intelligent technologies, the city will actively seize opportunities, with the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application as a key focus, to accelerate the development of a dynamic and vibrant innovation ecosystem.
