At this year’s Fuzhou Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Fujian Sanyao Technology Co., Ltd. has achieved high scores in the finals for its project “Industrial Application of Ultra-High-Performance Tunable Lasers and Optical Modules in Next-Generation AI-Driven Computing Power Communication Networks.” The company’s two breakthrough chip technologies significantly enhance the speed and stability of optical signal transmission. Its communication chip can carry hundreds of optical signals through a single fiber, achieving ultra-high speeds and ultra-low latency, while its sensing chip endows devices such as drones with “super senses,” enabling precise obstacle avoidance and temperature control. Currently, the company’s products have been adopted by Huawei, and it has established close partnerships with well-known enterprises such as Coherent, NVIDIA, and ByteDance. Looking ahead, Fujian Sanyao will focus on cutting-edge areas such as autonomous driving and LiDAR, leveraging its core advantage of “Tsinghua team + international patents” to pursue goals of halving costs and doubling speed.
The content creation sector is also entering a new era powered by AI. Fujian Aidikaxun Network Technology Co., Ltd.’s “Ai Ying Zhi Hui” platform deeply integrates generative AI into the entire animation production process, cutting the traditional six-month production cycle to as little as three months and reducing labor costs by over 70%. The platform combines advanced large models with Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) to deliver top-quality visuals. Additionally, it draws on the “Fujian Cultural Treasures” database to showcase works featuring local cultural elements such as Blue Breath and Yeshan Chronicles at cultural expos and on CCTV.

Meanwhile, the data sharing and trading platform of Fuzhou Data Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. facilitates the transformation of data into production factors… Scientific innovation serves as the “lifeblood” of industrial development, and outstanding enterprises nurtured by high-level sci-tech platforms in Fuzhou continue to drive the city’s industrial upgrading and high-quality economic growth.
In recent years, Fuzhou has established high-level science and technology innovation platforms, including the Mindu Innovation Laboratory and the Academy of Digital China (Fujian), in Southeast China (Fujian) Science City and Fuzhou New Area. In the field of ecological governance, Fuzhou University’s Algae Bio-technology team has attracted widespread attention for its “Photocatalytic Algae Removal Net” Technology. Specialized photocatalytic materials are applied to a mesh structure, which uses sunlight to generate reactive substances such as hydroxyl radicals that precisely destroy algal cell walls. In the Longjin water system management project in Cangshan, Fuzhou, the technology turned turbid water clear in just 30 days, removing more than 98% of algae. The team also employs unmanned vessels equipped with sensors and combines them with AI large models to predict algal bloom trends and provide intelligent early warnings.
Fujian Fortunetone Network Technology Co., Ltd. has launched the “Beidou + Marine Digital Solution,” leveraging its self-developed intelligent shipborne terminals and satellite-based full-domain digital platform to create a three-dimensional marine prevention and control system: “one network for observation, one-stop data access, one-click early warning, and integrated management.” The solution has been widely applied in maritime traffic management, emergency communications, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
In the logistics sector, ZERONE has achieved a revolutionary breakthrough with its “ZERONE Concentrated Freight” full-chain bulk logistics system. By leveraging IoT and big data technologies, the system seamlessly integrates procurement, transportation, warehousing, and sales, among others, reducing vehicle entry and exit times at logistics parks from 30 minutes to just 2 minutes and increasing document processing efficiency by more than 80%. The system currently serves thousands of enterprises across more than a dozen bulk commodity sectors, including coal and ore.
Boss Data has launched a full-process data asset management platform that innovatively leverages blockchain technology to register data assets and provide each with an immutable “digital ID.” First applied in Fuzhou, the platform has helped the government unlock the value of public data assets and is gradually being rolled out to provinces such as Hubei and Liaoning.

In the cultural experience sector, Mohuan Roaming Technology’s “Mirage Vision” smart glasses combine AR, AI, and SLAM technologies. Visitors can enjoy dynamic China chic lighting effects on the ancient buildings of Sanfang Qixiang, with real-time scene recognition triggering digital reconstructions of historical scenes. The glasses’ built-in virtual assistant, “Roaming Lion,” provides immersive guided tours, intelligently captures key moments, and automatically generates stylized travel videos, making it a standout feature in smart scenic area development.
In battery safety, Nebula, in collaboration with the China Academy of Transportation Sciences, has developed the “Vehicle and Vessel Service Battery Health AI Model.” Based on the original data of battery testing covering the widest range of models and the longest cycle in China, the model uses an integrated hardware-software approach of “charging-and-testing stations + Battery AI” to assess battery health during charging. Users can access critical battery information with a single click, and the 1.0 Beta version has delivered strong results in pilot projects.
From laboratory breakthroughs to intelligent applications in daily life, and from single-product innovations to full-industry-chain ecosystem development, Fuzhou is reshaping urban development through AI, infusing new vitality into the city and truly bringing technology benefits to its people.
In 2024, Fuzhou’s digital economy exceeded 790 billion yuan, accounting for 56% of the city’s GDP. The city continues to advance digital infrastructure development, deepen market-oriented reforms of data elements, actively integrate into the national integrated computing power network, expand AI computing power clusters, and establish provincial-level AI industrial parks, accelerating its transformation into a regional hub for intelligent computing power.
The State Council has recently approved a two-year comprehensive reform pilot program for the market-oriented allocation of production factors in 10 regions, including Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Quanzhou. The program explicitly supports strengthening the regions’ independent innovation capacity, reinforcing the development of innovation laboratories, promoting the formation of innovation consortia by industry-leading enterprises, and exploring mechanisms such as the chief expert responsibility, lump-sum project funding, and credit commitment systems.
According to reports, Fuzhou will further advance the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial development. The city will pursue an innovation-driven development strategy, make coordinated efforts to promote integrated reform of institutions and mechanisms pertaining to education, science and technology, and talent, and accelerate the development of a science and innovation corridor anchored by the first-class University Town and Southeast China (Fujian) Science City. It will also promote the construction of the Fuzhou section of the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Quanzhou National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, aiming to build Fuzhou into a high-level hub of innovation. Focusing on local industrial needs, Fuzhou will promote the deep integration of innovation, industry, capital, and talent chains, improve mechanisms linking enterprises, universities, research institutes, end-users, and finance, strengthen the role of enterprises as primary drivers of innovation, deepen cooperation with the Mindu Innovation Laboratory, Fuxing Innovation Laboratory, and Fuzhou University, and accelerate the rapid, localized, and efficient transformation, incubation, and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements across the full chain.
