A large industrial weaving machine integrated with AI captured the attention of numerous industry professionals. It can control process parameters and fabric quality, performing both weaving and inspection simultaneously. In multiple enterprise applications, it achieved an on-time delivery rate of 99%, boosted production efficiency by 20%, and detected over 99% of long defects. This moment was captured by the reporter at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, where numerous cutting-edge exhibits powered by AI for new industrialization took center stage, drawing considerable attention.

The “AI + New Industrialization” track has already attracted heavyweights. At the closing ceremony of the conference, China Mobile unveiled the AI + New Industrialization Innovation Research Institute; China Telecom, in collaboration with the China Academy of Industrial Internet, launched the “Industrial + AI” integrated intelligent computing service platform; and China Unicom, in partnership with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), kicked off the AI Empowering New Industrialization Exploration (Shanghai Station)... During the conference, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and seven other banks jointly launched financial products and a series of services with a credit line of 400 billion yuan, providing financial support for the in-depth development of “AI + Manufacturing.”

China Unicom Chairman Chen Zhongyue explained that, driven by the strong technological momentum of “AI + Manufacturing,” China Unicom has strengthened the integration of digital and intelligent technologies, leveraged its data technology advantages, and continuously advanced technological innovation through its Gewu Unilink industrial Internet platform and the industry-specific Yuanjing large model. To expand the development potential of “AI + Manufacturing,” efforts have focused on strengthening the integration of digital and physical technologies, promoting the fusion of manufacturing resources, fostering collaborative development, and ensuring shared outcomes. This has led to the establishment of smart factories in industries such as automotive, steel, electronics, and equipment.

“The deep integration of ‘AI + New Industrialization’ is the core driving force behind industrial transformation, with the industrial Internet serving as the key enabler. Together, they will redefine the new paradigm for new industrialization, playing a particularly crucial role in the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises,” said Pang Songtao, General Manager of Inspur Yunzhou Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. The “Gong” business model for the digital transformation of manufacturing integrates data collection through advanced industrial digital infrastructure, data computation for intelligent production, and collaborative data utilization across the industry and supply chains, creating a new model of human-machine collaboration in intelligent production.

According to Pang Songtao, leveraging the Yunzhou Industrial Internet platform, Inspur Yunzhou has developed the Zhiye industrial big model and an intelligent agent cluster, benefiting a wide range of industries. For example, by deploying industry-specific intelligent agents, Black Cat Group has boosted production efficiency, reduced costs, and ensured safety. Additionally, it has driven a comprehensive industry chain upgrade for the Pingyin rose sector, doubling its output value, and developed an agricultural big model to offer scientific guidance for agricultural cultivation.

According to Accenture’s China Enterprise Digital Transformation Index 2025, Chinese companies are making rapid progress in AI exploration and application, but these efforts are closely linked to the development of key digital technology capabilities. Research indicates that companies must continue to address gaps in areas such as talent and data to accelerate the large-scale adoption of AI, better meet business demands, and enhance organizational resilience.
